Loving yourself unconditionally means accepting all parts of yourself. Even the qualities, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that you wish were different should be embraced.
Many times we are kinder to others than we are to ourselves. We often are forgiving of other’s faults but not our own.
Accept yourself as you are. Know that it is o.k. to be imperfect. Understand you are a work in progress. It is important to know that your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are separate from who you really are. Love yourself even with your faults and imperfections. Know that the core of you is beautiful.
Be kind in what you say to yourself. When we are so self critical we are not being very loving to ourselves.
Say positive things to yourself even if you don’t believe them. It really can make you feel better. Make time every day to say positive affirmations to yourself!
You can even try the affirmation below. Say it daily even if you don’t feel like it or believe it is true. You may find that it really does make a difference in how you behave, think, and feel!!!
